November SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring November's SOTM, Cherish the Day, a set of 44 stamps.  If you have come here from Heather’s Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

This month we have 57 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

The November Stamp of the Month, Cherish the Day, is a great set that you can use year round.  I have made this Fall Card to send out for Thanksgiving.  The stamp set coordinates with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  The stamp set is marked 1” on the carrier sheet, this will give you the perfect size “ticket” to match up with your stamped images.  If you also want to use the layer, as I have done on my card, you will need to increase the size.  I increased the size to 1 ¼” to allow room for the layer on top of the ticket.  The flowers and leaves were also cut with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

All supplies by Close To My Heart:

Cricut Art Philosophy & Believe

It is time for another challenge sketch over at Mojo Monday. Snowflake stamps are my favorite designs.  The vast majority of my Christmas cards are a snowflake theme.  Since winter is our longest season, I am able to put the snowflake stamps to good use.  The scallop shapes and snowflake were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I embossed the Sky cardstock with a Snowflake embossing folder and sanded to the white core to give the card more texture.  All supplies by Close To My Heart except where noted.

Art Philosophy Shape A Day Cont..

Have you been following  Jeanette Lynton’s blog? Jeanette is  the founder of Close To My Heart.  She is featuring the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for the month of October.  A new project is being posted daily. This door hanger was from her Day 18 post.  Love, love those butterflies.  They were all cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  If you are a new follower, be sure and check out her older posts to see all of the creations she has made with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Birthday Fan Fare Card

I made birthday cards over the weekend for a few friends’ children.  The cards are based on a sketch from sketchsupport.com.  The stars were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  All supplies by Close To My Heart except where noted.

Z1471 Ruler
Generic Embroidery Floss

A close up of the stars cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I scored the larger star to give it more dimension.

The same card stamped with a different birthday phrase.

I am often asked about my stitching.  I love the look of the stitched lines.  I am sewing machine impaired.  It seems I can never get my corners straight with my sewing machine. I am sure practice makes perfect, but I do not seem to have the time to practice.  I purchased the Sew-Easy tools, and seem to have a similar problem with them.  Close To My Heart too my rescue!  Our new ruler has grid lines to help you keep everything straight.  The ruler is many tools in one, you can use it for measuring (of course!), stitching in a straight or zig-zag pattern, it also features a metal straight edge for cutting!  It is my new go too tool.  All of the details are hard to view in the catalog, so I enlarged a photo here for you to view.

Cricut Art Philosophy & Snowflakes

It is never too early to start on your Holiday cards.  This card was made with the help of the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  Snowflakes are one of my favorite images.  The multiple snowflake layers that can be found on the Art Philosophy cartridge make quick and easy cards.  I used the Snowflakes stamp set which coordinates with the die cut snowflakes to add additional detail to the design.  Here is a pic of the full Snowflakes stamp set.

The artwork shown with the stamp images is by Close To My Heart.  The snowflakes with the red outline have a matching Cricut Shape on the Art Philosophy cartridge.  Even though the other snowflakes do not have the red outline, you can see they will also coordinate with the Cricut shapes.  Start making your own unique snowflakes today.

To my surprise, my blog has been awarded the Liebster Blog award by Karen Day over at Karen’s Creations.  Being new to the blogging world, it was nice to see that some of my artwork is being noticed.  Thanks Karen, you made my day!

There are a few “rules” that come with accepting the Liebster Blog Award:
1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.

Cricut Art Philosophy & Lucky

The Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge is great for making quick cards.  The tag on the front of this card was stamped with the Tag Collection stamp set and then mounted on the matching Chipboard Embellishment.   This card has more of a masculine feel, it was made for a male friend.  I still managed to incorporate ribbon, just left off the bow!

Supplies used include:

The Outdoor Denim Mini Medley Accents Collection is not listed in the current catalog.  You can purchase the set at a greatly reduced price in the While Supplies last section.  You can see the entire selection here.  Prices start at just .25!

Holiday Magic & Believe

The challenge over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges is a sketch this week.  This is my interpretation of the sketch.  My original idea was to do a monochromatic card in blue.  I am currently out of  Sky Blue Cardstock, so I went with Topiary.  I love how it turned out.  I could easily see making these in a rainbow of holiday colors.

Supplies used include:
S1110 Holiday Magic-October Stamp of the Month

While the Holiday Magic set does not come with Cricut settings,  I have found it matches up well with the 3 ¼” size stocking from the Art Philosophy Cartridge. Join in the challenge and make your own card to play along.

Dreamin Fall Card

Hard to deny it any longer, summer is officially over.  The weather is getting cooler, the days shorter and the leaves are changing colors.  I created this Happy Fall card for my team card exchange.  All shapes were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  Those little flowers sure are addicting!  I cut the flowers from page 68 @ 2”.  I added in the leaves from page 56 @ 1 ¼”.  The tab from page 58 @ 1” and the Fall letters round out the card. Supplies used include:

I have entered this card in the following challenges:
