Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are always the hardest to buy.  I included a couple of sympathy cards in my boxed gift set.  A simply, yet elegant card.  I dry embossed my stamp panel.  The dry embossing brings a lot to the card.  I did my embossing with a stylus and scoring board.  Don’t have a stylus or scoring board?  You can also use a dried up ink pen as a stylus and the cutting line on your paper trimmer to score as well.  Simple and inexpensive.  This card was created with one ink pad.  I stamped the flowers in second generation ink and the saying in first generation. All supplies by Close To My Heart.

Thinking Of You Card

This is one of the cards that I included in the gift box set from my previous post.  I kept the color scheme the same on all of the cards and just changed the theme.  This card incorporates the Rock the Block promotional stamp set.  I used one of the background stamps to stamp the lower portion of the card.  The flowers and leaves were stamped with second generation ink to give a softer look. All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted.

Boxed Gift Card Sets

I made boxed gift card sets for numerous Christmas gifts.  The sets came together quickly and the matching “box” completes the collection.  I found the directions for the card box at Jill’s Card Creations.  She has a great tutorial with photos for making the box.  You will be amazed at how easy this box is to cut and assembly.  Inside the box, I added 6 stamped cards with envelopes.  The enclosed cards are your standard A2 size, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I stamped various themes, keeping the color scheme the same.  I kept the cards on the simple side, for the sake of easy mailing.   My goal was to gift the recipients with a gift they could actually use.  I can’t count how many times I have heard some mention they need to go to the store to buy a card.  With the gift sets, they will have a card on hand for numerous occasions.  If you have a friend or neighbor in need of a pick me up, how about making them a gift set?  I am sure it will be well received.  All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted.
