The Paper Players Colour Challenge

The challenge this week at The Paper Players is a Colour Challenge.  While my card is on the simple side, it was a real challenge for me.  I don’t create a lot with the lighter colors.  I did a lot of shuffling and came up with this design to meet the challenge requirements.  Here are the colours-

I used a wide variety of supplies, told you I did a lot of shuffling!

Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge by CTMH
Bamboo Cardstock by CTMH
Pear Pizzazz Cardstock by SU
Pool Party Cardstock by SU
Wisteria Wonder Cardstock by SU
Rich Cocoa Ink by Memento
Smooch Spray by Clear-Snap
Die-Namics Fancy Flourish Die by MFT
Labels Sixteen by Spellbinders
Dot Embossing Folder by Provocraft

It is hard to tell from the photo-but I added a little smooch spray to the flowers to give them a tiny amount of sparkle.

I have also entered this card in the following challenges:

Sweet Stamps - Think Spring
Whimsy Inspiration – Embossing

Thanks for stopping by!

You achieved beauty with your sense of balance and simple design. I think the dry embossed dots in the background gives it that extra something. Well done! :-)

Hi Allisa! I tried to make rolled roses tonight and mine are so sad compared to these beauties. Love the texture and dimension along with the fun shape framing the sentiment. Very pretty! Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! :)

The best advice I have on the flowers it to roll them tightly and then let them "relax" before gluing into place. I roll mine and then set them down and let them loosen, then glue in place. The plain spiral seems to be the easiest to master....since you are not working with aligning petals.
