New Pigment Ink Pad Sets!

The challenge this week at CASology is to create a CAS design featuring fruit.  Let’s  just say I have very few food related stamps!  All I could come up with was an apple in a school set….a really small apple!  While glancing through my stamp sets, for some hidden fruit….I came across the pumpkin.  Hmmmm, is that a fruit or a vegetable???  Yes, indeed the pumpkin is a fruit!  So, the hardest part of this card was picking a stamp….after that it was easy peasy!

My pumpkin is made with a coordinating shape and detail stamp set, So Grateful.  Super simple, stamp your solid image.  Then come back over the top with the detailed image.  Close To My Heart's clear stamps make lining up the image a breeze.  I popped up my leaf stamp to add a little dimension to the card.

This card was super fun to make!  It was my first time using the new pigment ink pads sets by Close To My Heart.  I am in love with the luscious creamy colors.  I will admit, when I first saw them in the Idea Book....they were not high on my list of must have items.   But, I had to try them to be able to tell people about them.  I have a full collection of dye ink pads and did not see a big need for the pigment ink.  WRONG, I need a full collection of pigment ink!  The coverage you get with the pigment ink is awesome.  The difference is amazing!  I will be posting sample pics tomorrow with stamps inked in dye ink vs pigment ink...so you can see the difference.  The pigment ink pads come in mini sets of 10 pads.  The set is $19.95 and there is a set offered for each color palette.  Don't make the same mistake I did...........put these high on your wish list!  They will be available to order in just a few short days on August 1!

These are the ink pads I used in creating my card.  All supplies by Close To My Heart:

1388 Colonial White Cardstock
B1395 So Grateful Stamp Set

Thanks for the info. on the pigment inks. I've been wondering about them and unsure, but plan to buy the neutrals first. Cute card! (Pumpkin is a fruit? Really? I didn't know that.)

Lovely CAS example. The image is actually very pretty, isn't it? Of course, I think fall colours are FAB no matter what, so this was a definite shoo-in to appeal to me (grin). Well done. Thank you for entering this week's CAS challenge at Card Crafter's Circle.
