I stayed true to the sketch.....though I was really torn on just what design I wanted to use! I instantly thought of using a layered snowflake...but obviously so did a lot of others! Then I toyed with the idea of a cupcake...which lead me down the birthday path. I ended up using a ton of supplies that had never seen the light of day for a fun boy themed birthday card! I never seem to have boy birthday cards when I need them...so I figured the gears and bolts theme would be a great card to have in the stash!
I added more fun colors to the inside for a cheerful card!
I used a wide variety of supplies from the stash for this one:
Grey Cardstock-Making Memories
White Cardstock-Close To My Heart
Boys Only Paper Pad-Doodlebug Design
Birthday Stamps-Close To My Heart (D1475 Card Chatter-Birthday)
Gear Punch-Stampin Up
Grey Ribbon-Stampin Up
Screw Brads-Karen Foster
Tuxedo Black Ink-Memento
Circle Stax Dies-MFT
I have entered my card in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion-Recipe Challenge (3 DPS, Ribbon and a Circle Shape)
Through the Craft Room Door-Anything Goes

I just love the colors and all those fun gears! I agree about getting the crafty goodies yourself; if I depend on everyone else it never happens!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card, Alissa! I love how you kept it bright and cheerful, but still masculine. Most cards that I see for men are dark with browns and blues. This is one to CASE!
