Thoughtful Tidings is a set of eleven stamps.  Six of the stamps have coordinating Cricut images.  The coordinating Cricut images make matting a breeze! This card was created with a variety of Close To My Heart products, which will all be available to order 2/1/12!  The new Spring/Summer catalog goes live on 2/1/12!  I can’t wait to share all of the new products with you.  All supplies by Close To My Heart:

Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy
G1033 WOTG Pemberley Kit
S1202 Thoughtful Tidings SOTM
C1494 Card Word Puzzle
Z2118 Desert Sand Ink
Z2130 Indian Corn Blue Ink
Z2140 Outdoor Denim Ink
Z1732 Seam Binding Ribbon
Z1708 Sparkles Flourishes

Design Tips-The top pattern paper was created by stamping the floral stamp from the Card Word Puzzle set with Desert Sand Ink onto Vanilla Cream Cardstock.

The seam binding ribbon was colored by sponging on Outdoor Denim Ink.

The flower is from page 70 of the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I cut the flower at 3 5/8”.  I sponged on Indian Corn Blue ink and inked the edges of the flower.  The flower was rolled with a quilling tool.  The leaves are fussy cut from a piece of B&T that is included in the WOTG Pemberley Kit.

The saying was cut with the shape from page 67 of the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  The top layer was cut at 2 ¼”, the mat was cut at 2 3/8”.

This card is based on this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch #226. I chose the square version at 5" x 5" for my cardbase.

Time for a new Challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.  The challenge this week is to complete a 3-D project.  I completed this door hanger with the help of the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  The Art Philosophy Cartridge has many 3-D projects to choose from.  I chose the heart box and added 3-D flowers.

All supplies by Close To My Heart.

Pemberley Birthday Card

The DT at Freshly Made Sketches has come up with another great sketch this week.  Their sketches are so versatile.  If you happen to be in a card making slump…I highly recommend looking through their archives!  Here is the sketch my card is based on-

This card is going in my Birthday Card stash, so the inside has been stamped as well.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted.

Design Tip-The flower is part of the Card Word Puzzle Stamp Set.  I stamped the flower twice on the Pemberley B&T paper.  I then cut the images out.  I cut out the layers on one image with an Exacto knife and then mounted the cut image on the other pre-cut flower.  This gives some added dimension to the flower.

I have also entered this card in the following challenges:

Black & White

The challenge this week at CAS-ual Fridays is to make a CAS card with black and white only.  I think this is the first card I have ever made in just black and white.  I love the results.  Simple but striking!  This card was made with the stamp set that comes with the Pemberley Workshop Kit.  The kit will be available in the Spring/Summer catalog.  All products by Close To My Heart except where noted.

Sending My Love...

I received a lot of feedback on my previous Baby Button card, so I made a Valentine’s version.  I have a tendency to hoard buttons, so the button cards are great for making a dent in my button supply.  This is a super simple card that has great impact.  I cut the heart image with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I then used the negative image as my top mat.  The buttons were randomly applied to fill in the heart image.  The stitching was completed with the help of the Close To My Heart ruler which has a stitching guide.  It is hard to tell from the photos, but the whole card has a nice shimmer thanks to Smooch spray.  All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted.

Quick V-Day Card

I spent some time on Pinterest the other day looking at craft ideas.  A person can get lost there quickly.  While browsing I saw numerous cards make with negative images from die-cuts and punches.  While I have made a few cards with negative images from my Cricut, I had not yet done this with my punches.  This card came together in mere minutes.  I highly recommend this style of card when you need multiples in a hurry!  All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted.
