May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring May's Stamp of the Month, Pinwheel, a set of 10 stamps.  If you have came here from Tamra's Blog, you are on the right path.  The blog hop is a great big circle, you can start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way, you can find a complete list of participating consultants here.

The May Stamp of the Month is the perfect stamp set to use with your Dream Pop papers!  I love the fun bright colors!  I inked my pinwheels in VersaMark Ink and then embossed in white on the plain cardstock side of the Dream Pop papers.  My handle is a clear straw that I colored with my Copics!  My card is based on the sketch challenge this week at Mojo Monday, here is the original sketch if you would like to join in on the fun-

I kept the inside blank, I can always add a sentiment later or I have plenty of room for a handwritten sentiment.

Merry Monday #59

After taking a week off, we are back at Merry Monday!  Lesley has another awesome sketch for us this week.  I love the combination of the oval shape with the added banner.

My oval shapes were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I then embossed the top panel with a distressed brick background.  I popped up my stocking, added a rick rack hanger and fun flock for added texture.  A little added bling completes the card!

I carried the monochromatic theme to the inside of the card.  The large sentiment is from MFT Stamps.

Freshly Made Sketches #82

Jen B is our hostess this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  She has created a great sketch to get you started on your creation.  I seem to be in the Western themed card making mode, so I am back with another western card.  The Dakota paper line by Close To My Heart is perfect for all your western themed projects.  Here is the original sketch to get you started:

The sentiment on the front of my card is stamped on a frame that I cut out with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  My horseshoe is cut with an MFT die out of silver glitter paper.  I then added the nails with black enamel accents.

I carried the horseshoe theme over to the inside of my card.  My horseshoe is stamped in slate ink.  My sentiment is stamped with black pigment ink and then embossed with clear powder.

Papercraft Star #141

We have a new challenge theme this week at Papercraft Star.  We want to see your creations with clocks or watches!  Would you believe there is not a clock or watch stamp to be found in my craft room?  The day night was saved...by my Cricut Artiste cartridge!  I decided to take the challenge literally and make a clock shaped card.  To make the clock card, I cut two clock bases.  Scored the back clock along the top and applied adhesive.  I then layered the top clock shape.  Now you can make any type of shape card you would like.  It is hard to see in the photos, but I embossed the black clock numbers to give them a shiny look.  My clock hands are adhered with a brad, so the time can easily be changed.  Here is the inspiration photo for the week, use if you choose for your creation-

The inside of my card has the perfect sentiment to go along with my clock shape.  My clock bases are cut at a standard card size of 4.25 x 5.50, to make for easy mailing.
