Wow, it has been a long time since I have been able to sit and create. I needed a quick Father's Day card and just happened to have the new
Jackson paper line by Close To My Heart waiting to be cut. It almost seems this card should be a Throwback Thursday, while my papers are new....my stamp sets are from way back! Not to mention I pulled out a chalk set that is easily 20 years old to add some color. I created my card with the help of the sketch this week at
Freshly Made Sketches.
I kept my card clean and simple...which makes for ease of mailing. I could not resist adding in a little texture with some leftover burlap. Burlap does not get thrown away in this craft room......every little snippet gets put aside for some use in the future. I added a few leftover strands for some added texture.
I love the added detail of the arrow designed paper, which is actually a zip strip included on the 12x12 Jackson paper. These little zip strips are great for adding borders to your scrapbook pages and a little something extra to your card designs.
