Last Call for Blossom

Today is the last day to save 20% on the Blossom Bundles!  This collection is retiring on February 28!  While some remaining items will likely show back up in the Online Only section at a later date....the 20% savings will not!  If you have been holding off on adding on to your collection, today is the day!

My card was created with the gorgeous wreath image found on the sticker sheet.  While the sticker has lines for journaling, I fussy cut out the center and applied to my card with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  I originally stamped the hello sentiment in Smoothie ink, but was not loving the results.  I ended up going over the stamped image with a gold Uniball pen.  A few gold accents and clear shimmer was added to the wreath design as well.  The hello sentiment is part of a new set that will be released on March 1!

Freshly Made Sketches #474

After impatiently stalking the FedEx truck, I have a few new stamp sets to play with this week!  I instantly knew what I wanted to create when I saw the cute sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I just had to wait for FedEx to get over their totally made up weather delays!  I totally understand there are weather delays all over, but not currently in my neck of the woods!  Not to mention, I only live a short distance from the Close To My Heart warehouse!  Maybe weather delay is the new code word for COVID delay...regardless I am thrilled to have new stamps to ink up!  Here is a look at the original sketch design-

I created my card with the super cute Let's Paw-ty stamp set. This set has been out awhile, but is just now making it to my stamp collection.  Who can resist cute doggies?  And if you can totally resist cute doggies, there is a cute kitty set as well!  Here is a look at the complete stamp set-

The large stamp is made for an A2 sized card.  I simply framed up a small square of the design to create my card.  Color was added with Copics and the completed panel was applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  The arf arf arf is hello in dog language!  Super simple and super cute.

The Paper Players #529

My craft room is a disaster...and while I really should be cleaning...I decided I would much rather be crafting!  Sadly, I need to get a pet sympathy card in the mail.  The challenge at The Paper Players was the perfect match! The Paper Players is having a CAS Feline Fine Challenge this week.

My card is super simple. I used the negative space from a heart die cut to make the images pop.  I started with a die cut panel of White Daisy cardstock.  I centered a heart die on the front and cut out the negative space.  I then blended a rainbow background with Distress Oxides on my card base. The die cut panel was then mounted onto the card base.  My kitty was stamped in Intense Black ink with color added with Prismacolor pencils.  The kitty was applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.

The stamps used on this card are from the Rainbow Bridge stamp set by Close To My Heart.  This set has a variety of images that are perfect for creating sympathy cards.  Here is a look at the complete set-

Slimline Thin Cuts

I feel like I was making slimline cards before it was cool...but it seems everything has a way of coming back in style in crafting!  If I can just hang in there until brads and eyelets come back in, I have a lifetime supply! There are definitely more cool toys for creating slimline cards now! Check out the Diagonal Stripes Slimline Thin Cuts die.  You can create gorgeous backgrounds in minutes with this die.

Fab Friday #207

I am sure so many of us are impatiently waiting for Spring! I still have blowing snow, with emphasis on the blowing! Pretty papers are quick to bring a touch of Spring to the craft room though.  I created my card based on the sketch challenge at Fab Friday-

My sentiment was a little crowded on the vertical card, so I flipped the panel to follow along with the sketch. My card is super simple, the pattern papers from the Blossom Bring Back My Pack special do all the work. These papers are set to retire again on February 28! If you want to add them to your collection, your time is running out. All Blossom items are available individually or you can purchase product bundles at 20% off.  You can view all the options here

My card was created with two of the prints from the Blossom pack, matted in Lagoon.  I added a splash of color with Nectarine.  The sentiment is from the current Craft with Heart subscription kit. My sentiment panel is popped up with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.

Paw Prints on Your Heart

Pet sympathy projects are so hard.  I often send sympathy cards for those that have lost their furry friends.  One thing I love about crafting is the ability to tailor your cards to the recipients.  I would much rather spend my time creating just the right card vs hours in the card aisle searching for something close to my needs! Having a great stamp set helps making sympathy cards so much easier.  The Paw Prints on Your Heart is a great set to have in your collection.

This set includes 12 clear stamps and is available to order here.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #409

I am so in the running for the Social Distance Champion!  I am all for just staying home when possible.  When I am out and about, I definitely keep my distance from others. The In This Together Collection was perfect for the new sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

The In This Together Collection features a fun assortment of prints that feature two themes.  One side is more COVID related with the other side is a fun mix of purple themed prints. My card is created with a mix of the prints from the collection. You can purchase all the items individually or you can save 20% when you purchase a bundle of products.

The speech bubbles on the top of  my card were fussy cut from one of the pattern papers. I mounted them with 3-D foam tape onto layered stitched squares that were mounted at an angle. The Social Distance Champion sentiment was stamped in Sapphire ink.

Freshly Made Sketches #473

The layered Thanks Thin Cut makes a bold statement on your projects.  I am always in need of more Thank You cards as I seem to mail them out as soon as they are created!  My card is based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here is the original sketch design-

I created my card with the fun papers from the Bloom with Grace Collection.  This sunflower print is one of my faves! While this collection is retired, a few packs are still available for purchase in the Online Only section of my website.  The Online Only section features literally hundreds of products that are available in limited quantities.  You can view the full selection here

I added in a few layers to make the thanks sentiment really pop. I started by layering a vellum panel onto the Fern background.  I then cut the thanks shadow die three times in vellum.  I adhered the vellum layers together.  The top layer was cut in Espresso cardstock.  After adhering all the layers together, I then applied the sentiment with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  I layered the shadow layer multiple times to insure that you would not be able to see the foam tape.  Sadly, I do not have clear foam in my craft arsenal, though I know it does exist! I wanted the sentiment popped up, so that I could have the burlap twine running under the sentiment.  A few matte gold sequins finish off the card.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #408

Time for a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  As much as I try to stay on top of birthday's, it seems I always end up missing one.  A brightly colored, belated birthday card is just what I need for the card stash!  Here is the original sketch design-

My card is created with the Party Time Collection of papers and the On Your Birthday stamp set.  I love the mix of fonts and the variety of belated sentiments that are included in the set.  Here is a look at the complete set-

My card is on the simple side, just a few layers of paper.  The background on the Nectarine strip was created with the February Stamp of the Month, Doodled Borders. The bunch of balloons is from the Party Time sticker sheet.  I mounted the sticker onto Raspberry cardstock and then applied with 3-D foam tape.  A bit of shimmer was added to the polka dot balloons with a clear shimmer brush. A few bitty sparkles finish off the card.

MFT Sketch #528

If I could save the world by napping, I would be all in!  My spare time is divided between crafting and napping! The couch sentiment was perfect for the sketch challenge at MFT-

I love the fun mix of purples in the new In This Together Collection. From hearts, to stripes to florals, the collection has it covered! Items are available individually or save 20% when you purchase a bundle of products!

To create my card, I cut 1" strips of the heart pattern paper at 3" and 1 1/2" in length. A fishtail banner in Sapphire was used in the middle of the card to follow the sketch.  The couch sticker was mounted onto Sapphire cardstock and applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. A few enamel dots complete the card.

Freshly Made Sketches #472

Oh, how true this sentiment is!  I miss seeing everyone's face.  So often, I do not even recognize people at the store!  Not to mention the many people that are now home bound!  I will be using this set often to send a quick note to those that are not able to be out and about. My card is based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches-

My card is super simple.  The mask printed paper was perfect for my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment in Sapphire ink and fussy cut the image out. The sentiment panel was applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  A few banners cut in coordinating cardstock complete the sketch.

My card was completed with supplies from the In This Together Collection.  All items in the collection are available to purchase separately or you can purchase in a bundle and save 20%! I plan on mostly making cards, so this is the bundle that worked best for me-
